Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has expressed immense pride in singer Rema.
Taking to her Instagram story to share photos of herself with the Mavins star, DJ Cuppy praised Rema’s remarkable achievements. She highlighted his success as the artist with the most-streamed African song, his historic feat as the youngest African artist to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, and his triumph in topping the Global Shazam Charts.
So proud of you @heisrema. Where do I even start? Most Streamed African song, made history as the youngest African artist to have a song chart on the Billboard Hot 100, topped Global Shazam Charts. I could go on…and on… May God continue to enlarge your coast, my brother!”
Last year, DJ Cuppy stirred reactions when she expressed her playful desire to become Asake’s backup singer after meeting him at an event. She shared this aspiration with her Twitter followers, adding a humorous twist to her post.
In another instance, DJ Cuppy issued a public service announcement (PSA) to Nigerians, expressing her frustration over being misunderstood. She revealed that Nigerians often misinterpret her personality and humor, hoping that one day people would understand her for who she truly is.
At the start of 2024, DJ Cuppy announced her six major goals for the year, focusing on being her softest, healthiest, prettiest, and most successful self. She also committed to taking her gym routine seriously.
Later, she shared on the X platform (formerly Twitter) how the year has been unfolding for her. DJ Cuppy enthusiastically remarked that despite only being a quarter into 2024, it has already been her best year yet.
