Nollywood actress Awele Odita has publicly refuted claims made by her baby daddy, Koko Zaria, accusing her of having an affair with former NURTW chairman, MC Oluomo.
Awele took to Instagram to address these allegations, asserting that they are completely unfounded and instead pointing the finger at Koko Zaria’s wife.
Awele Odita shared that during an interview, Koko Zaria had accused her of being romantically involved with MC Oluomo. She firmly denied these allegations, stating that it was Koko Zaria’s wife who was having an affair with Oluomo, and she even claimed to possess a voice recording to support her statement.
In her Instagram post, Awele expressed her indignation:
I am writing to address false claims made by the father of my child (Zaria) during a recent interview. He alleged that I am having an affair with Oluomo. These accusations are entirely unfounded and untrue. In reality, it is his wife who is engaging in an extramarital affair, and there is voice-recording evidence to substantiate this.
How dare you defame my name and reputation with such baseless accusations, especially to an interviewer. I am the mother of your only son, and I deserve respect and honesty, not slander and deceit.
I will be going live at 9 PM EST with proof & to address these baseless accusations.”
Koko Zaria has recently been in the spotlight for various negative reasons. A week prior, Yoruba actor Baba Lawori cried out for help after allegedly being attacked by one of Koko Zaria’s aides. Lawori recounted that he was performing as a Master of Ceremony at an event when he was lured into a setup where one of Koko Zaria’s associates smashed a bottle on his head, leading to him losing consciousness.
MC Oluomo has also faced numerous accusations over the years regarding extramarital affairs. Last year, rumors circulated that he was involved in the breakdown of the marriage between actors Omowunmi Ajiboye and Segun Ogungbe. The gossip platform Gist Lover alleged that Oluomo was funding Ajiboye’s lavish lifestyle, including fully furnishing a new house for her, which purportedly led to her leaving her marriage. Ajiboye, however, denied these claims, emphasizing her commitment to her work and character.
Awele Odita’s call-out of Koko Zaria adds another layer of drama to the ongoing saga involving prominent figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Her promise to go live with evidence at 9 PM EST adds anticipation to her rebuttal, and the public remains eager to see how this dispute will unfold.
