Are you an exceptional organizer with a knack for handling a busy executive’s schedule? We’re seeking a highly skilled Personal Assistant to support our CEO in a dynamic role.
Wait a minute! We know that Lagos has the biggest economy in Nigeria and arguably in Africa, but how much do you think the Real Estate sector contributes to Lagos’ GDP?
It’s just about 5-6%.
With Real Estate revenue growing in 2024, the Lagos State government has set an ambitious goal of significantly increasing the real estate sector’s contribution to 15-20% of the state’s GDP.
This direction was supported by the newly inaugurated President of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), ESV Victor Alonge, who highlighted the sector’s untapped potential. ESV Alonge emphasized the global significance of real estate, citing its vast value compared to other asset classes.
He said, “According to Savills World Research, 2023, global real estate assets are estimated at a staggering US$379.7 trillion, surpassing the combined value of global equities and bonds (US$264 trillion). Real estate is three times more valuable than global oil reserves and four times the global GDP.”
