Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has shared a heartfelt message with her followers, emphasizing the importance of kindness and the value of staying true to oneself, even when dealing with ungrateful or deceptive people.
Her message comes after a series of public disputes with several of her colleagues in the industry.
Taking to her Instagram page, Angela Okorie posted a series of new photos along with a deep message for her fans. She urged them never to regret being kind, even to those who don’t deserve it. “Never regret being a good person to the wrong people. Your kindness shows everything about you, and their behaviour says everything about them,” she wrote, reminding her followers that their actions reflect their character, regardless of how others may treat them.
This message resonates strongly, especially considering Angela’s recent history of conflicts with fellow Nollywood stars. For over a year, Angela has been vocal about her displeasure with several colleagues whom she accuses of betrayal and deceit.
One of the most notable feuds was with actress Kate Henshaw, whom Angela accused of badmouthing her to others in the industry. According to Angela, Kate had been spreading negative rumors about her, questioning her respectfulness.
Angela has also publicly clashed with Uche Elendu, accusing her of invading her privacy during a difficult time. Angela claimed that Uche recorded a video of her when she was vulnerable and shared it with a blogger. She expressed her disappointment, questioning Uche’s loyalty and the sincerity of their friendship.
Another Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph, was also called out by Angela. She labeled Anita as “the most useless of them all” and accused both Anita and Uche of engaging in questionable activities to achieve fame, including visiting a native doctor.
Angela’s conflicts haven’t been limited to just her female colleagues. She recently directed her ire at Zubby Michael, accusing him of being ungrateful after she had helped him during a tough time. Despite her support, Angela claims that Zubby has been working against her.
In a shocking accusation, Angela also dragged popular actress Mercy Johnson and her late mother into the drama, alleging witchcraft. Angela went so far as to hold an Instagram Live session with Mercy Johnson’s former best friend, who supported her claims and accused Mercy of being aware of various tragic events in Nollywood.
Amidst these conflicts, Angela has faced criticism from some Nigerians who have suggested that her outbursts may be due to a mental breakdown. However, Angela has firmly addressed these claims, standing by her actions and statements.
Towards the end of last year, Angela hinted at her plans to distance herself from certain colleagues whom she described as “fake.” She expressed frustration over how some people follow her on social media but never engage with her posts, instead, they leave comments on others’ pages. Angela vowed to block these individuals in 2024, as she has no tolerance for their insincerity.
