Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola Salako has made a heartfelt plea to Nigerians for financial assistance to support her ailing colleague, Yusuf Olorungbebe.
The actor and production manager is currently in critical condition, on life support, and urgently needs help.
Foluke Daramola took to social media to share a video showing Olorungbebe on his hospital bed, highlighting the severity of his condition. In the video, she expressed her deep concern for his health and urged the public to donate whatever they could to help save his life.
In her emotional appeal, she said,
I’m here again to plea on behalf of my very esteemed colleague and production manager, Mr. Yusuf Olorungbebe. This is his state as of today, presently on life support. Please, no amount is too small for him to live; your support will go a very long way in helping us. Thanks so much, everyone.”

This is not the first time Foluke Daramola has stepped forward to assist ailing veterans in the industry. She has become a well-known advocate for providing aid to those in need, especially among her colleagues. Earlier this year, she sought financial help for veteran actress Obiqgheli Molobe, who was suffering from a partial stroke and other health issues, including diabetes and high blood pressure.
In December last year, Foluke wrote an open letter to President Bola Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, addressing the dire situation faced by many Nollywood veterans. She emphasized the need for better healthcare arrangements and support systems for aging actors, proposing the establishment of a trust fund dedicated to their well-being.
