Nigerian social media activist, Very Dark Man, has stirred up the online community with his bold claims of ending the reign of the infamous anonymous blog, Gistlover.

Taking to his Instagram story, the activist boasted about his success in discrediting the blog, which has long been a source of distress for many Nigerian celebrities.

Let it be known Very Dark Man finished the credibility of Gistlover blog and finally chased them away. Let it be known that the ratel is backed by God. Let it be known that till now I haven’t met my Waterloo,” he declared.

Very Dark Man’s bold statements have sparked mixed reactions online. While some supported his claim, others were skeptical, pointing out that Gistlover has faced and survived several takedowns before. One user commented,

Before you came into existence do you know how many of Gistlover’s accounts have been taken down and yet came back? I wonder what you are feeling like.”

The activist’s assertions come months after Gistlover faced legal troubles, with the arrest of three men allegedly linked to the blog. The arrests were tied to various charges, including conspiracy, cyber-stalking, and threats to life, shedding light on the darker side of the blog’s operations.

But Very Dark Man’s online activity doesn’t stop at Gistlover. He recently slammed several Nigerian celebrities for donating millions to support the controversial crossdresser, Bobrisky, during his time in prison. Bobrisky, who was incarcerated for naira abuse, received financial support from stars like Don Jazzy, Funke Akindele, and Tonto Dikeh. This, however, did not sit well with Very Dark Man.

In a series of Instagram posts, he criticized the celebrities for their priorities, arguing that their money could have been better spent on social causes such as building boreholes in underserved communities or funding education. He questioned the motives behind their support, implying that there might be more to the relationship between Bobrisky and these celebrities than meets the eye.

Una contribute over 70 million give crossdresser and una no fit help build boreholes for communities wey no get clean water,” he ranted. “Abi dem dey doke ma? Abi he dey pimp for them, this na serious matter oo. Like wtf.”

In response to the backlash he received for these statements, Very Dark Man remained unapologetic, stating that he does not seek validation from anyone and challenging his critics to take legal action if they felt offended.

There is no penalty for insult. If I call them mumu they should go to Court, they are all mumu all of them and this is my opinion. Peace and love. Ratel says Aluta continua,” he wrote.

Very Dark Man has quickly gained notoriety for his direct approach to addressing social issues and calling out individuals or entities he believes are fraudulent or unethical. From celebrities to pastors, no one seems safe from his critiques. He recently vowed to expose influencers who promote scams to their followers, warning the public not to trust influencers blindly as they often act in their own interests.
