The film, a Netflix original, is a significant milestone in Lateef’s career, marking his transition from supporting roles to leading an ensemble cast in a major production.

In his Instagram post, Lateef shared the movie’s trailer and reflected on his journey, stating,

I went from being the boy backstage to leading a galaxy of stars in bringing you this masterpiece.”

He hinted at the challenges faced during production but chose to focus on the positives, saying, “Today is about counting my blessings.”

He wrote, “If you understand the consequences of condescending captivity, you’ll appreciate the power of freedom. This movie will show you what our heroes went through to gift us the liberty we enjoy today.”

The post received overwhelming support from Lateef’s colleagues in the industry, with many taking to the comments to express their excitement for the film. Actress Funke Akindele commented,

This isn’t the first time Lateef has opened up about the humble beginnings of his career. In a recent interview, he recalled his early days, earning just N4,000 for a lead role. He shared that his father’s advice and his passion for acting kept him going, even when the pay was meager.
