Deck Socials Limited is a company that is currently building its MVP app called VibezsUp that aims to provide guests with the best experience booking tables at Upscale Lounges and Restaurants in their City.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Business Development Associate. The Business Development Associate will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing partnerships with vendors in the hospitality industry. The Business Development Associate will also work closely with product development and marketing teams to ensure that VibezsUp users receive the best possible experience. The responsibilities of the role are outlined below:
Vendor Identification:
- Conduct market research to identify potential vendors in various categories such as Upscale restaurants, event venues, Lounges and Clubs.
- Evaluate vendors based on criteria such as quality, reliability, pricing, and alignment with the VibezsUp target market and brand values.
Vendor On-boarding:
- Contact potential vendors and present the benefits of partnering with the reservation website.
- Coordinate the onboarding process, ensuring that vendors provide all necessary documentation, product/service information, and imagery for listing on the platform.
Vendor Relationship Management:
- Serve as the main point of contact for vendors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing ongoing support.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with vendors to provide feedback, identify areas for improvement, and optimize collaboration
Strategic Partnerships:
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships with key vendors or industry stakeholders to enhance the website’s offerings and competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with vendors on joint marketing initiatives, promotions, or exclusive deals to attract customers and drive revenue growth.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze vendor performance data and market trends to identify opportunities for optimization and expansion.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards summarizing vendor performance, trends, and key insights for internal stakeholders.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct periodic quality assessments of vendor offerings to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with the website’s standards and customer expectations.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, sales, and customer support, to align vendor initiatives with broader business objectives and strategies.
- Provide input and feedback to inform product enhancements, marketing campaigns, and customer experience improvements based on vendor insights and feedback.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, hospitality management, or related field.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate value propositions, negotiate terms, and influence decision-making.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and market conditions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
- Candidate must be situated within Lagos State and Abuja as the role involves interfacing with vendors operational with Lagos state and Abuja only
- Experience in vendor management, business development, or sales within the hospitality or tech industry would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting, and to drive projects from start to finish.
