Deborah Nosa Okunzuwa, the wife of Nollywood actor Nosa Rex, has expressed her thoughts on the ongoing controversy involving crossdresser Bobrisky and leaked phone recordings.

In a post on her Instagram, Deborah questioned why anyone would record private phone conversations with friends, calling the act “evil” and urging people to stop. She lamented how difficult it has become to trust friends, noting that people can no longer type messages or speak freely without fearing they’re being recorded.

In her post, Deborah emphasized that she wasn’t taking sides in the Bobrisky saga but simply addressing the issue of trust and privacy in friendships. She humorously suggested that sign language might be the only way to communicate safely now. She wrote:

But why should you record a phone call between you and your friend? Why?? What is really the matter?? If you are in this category, STOP IT!! It’s EVIL.”

The controversy began after Bobrisky was caught in a viral leaked audio, allegedly discussing bribing EFCC officials and receiving assistance from public figures like Femi Falana and his son, rapper Falz. The crossdresser has denied the allegations, claiming the audio was fake, but the recording has already sparked major fallout, including investigations from the EFCC and a defamation lawsuit from Falz.

In light of the situation, actress Tonto Dikeh also shared advice on the matter, condemning those who secretly record conversations and urging people to avoid anyone with a reputation for betrayal. She emphasized the growing trend of recording private interactions, calling it a sign of betrayal and advising her followers to keep their words and interactions brief to avoid being recorded.

The entire controversy has brought attention to the growing mistrust in friendships and how privacy is increasingly being invaded through secret recordings.
