Nollywood actress Bisola Badmus has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the public for their overwhelming support as she continues her fight against a brain tumor.
In an emotional video shared on Instagram, Bisola thanked her industry colleagues and supporters from across Nigeria and abroad for their unwavering love and assistance during this difficult time.
I appreciate everybody, both the industry, everybody home and abroad. I don’t know what I did to deserve the love you all showed to me; I appreciate you all, honestly,” she said.
The outpouring of support was evident as fans and fellow celebrities filled her comment section with prayers and well wishes. Colleagues like Ayo Olaiya, Lola Magret, and Jumoke George all sent their love, praying for her swift recovery.
In a recent interview with Kunle Afod, Bisola opened up about her ongoing three-year battle with the brain tumor, sharing that at one point, she lost her ability to see and recognize people. Thankfully, her condition has improved due to ongoing medication, but the journey has been challenging.
In another interview with Biola Bayo, Bisola discussed her co-parenting struggles with her son’s father, popular Fuji musician Kwam1. She revealed that she initially kept her illness from him, but once he found out, he offered support before eventually cutting communication. Bisola has since called on Kwam1 to step up and take more responsibility for their son Michael, as her health condition makes it difficult for her to manage alone.
Fortunately, the public’s response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many Nigerians offering to help. Some have offered to sponsor her son’s education, while others have pledged financial support for her medical expenses, including plans to send her abroad for surgery. Michael’s secondary school fees have also been paid in full, and a generous sponsor has provided him with a university scholarship.
