Celebrity designer Toyin Lawani has showered praises on controversial singer Portable after meeting him. In a heartfelt post shared on her Instagram page, Toyin described Portable as one of the most authentic entertainers she has ever encountered.
She humorously stated that it’s “trouble for whoever doesn’t like him,” acknowledging the singer’s flair for drama.
While admitting that Portable is a “drama king,” Toyin opined that it takes real talent to continuously capture public attention while promoting oneself non-stop. She even shared a surprising revelation about his calm nature in real life, contrasting with his often wild public persona.

Toyin’s praise comes on the heels of Portable’s recent successes. Last month, it was a double blessing for the singer as he revealed that actress Toyin Abraham, whom he described as “Queen Mother,” gave him N5 million to star in her upcoming movie, Alakada: Boujee and Bahd. Additionally, socialite Yhemo Lee gifted him N1 million.
In what appeared to be a subtle jab at others in the industry, Portable stated, “Whoever will help you won’t stress you,” alluding to the ease with which he received support from Toyin Abraham and Yhemo Lee.
This isn’t the first time Portable has received such generous support. Last year, billionaire businessman Obi Cubana gifted him N3 million to support his music career. Portable proudly shared his conversation with Obi Cubana, where the businessman promised to sponsor his musical endeavours.
In March, Abuja-based billionaire Ochacho gifted Portable a Mercedes Benz and promised him security to escort him to Lagos. Ochacho expressed his excitement at spending time with Portable and referred to the car as a “little token” of his support.
