Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo is facing backlash from fans after gifting his son, Keyo, a luxurious Corvette Sports car for his 18th birthday.
The actor shared a video on his Instagram, showcasing Keyo admiring the car, which is valued in the millions. In the post, Bolanle revealed that he fulfilled his son’s request for the car, emphasizing his commitment to being a present father despite its high cost.
He captioned the video,
Keyo: Dad, this is the whip I want for my 18th birthday. Maka: $1 = N1,670. Abeg, who knows how much $$ will cost in another year?? But he knows daddy always got him though.”
While many fans praised Bolanle for the extravagant gift, one commenter took a jab at him, indirectly mocking his recent separation from his wife. The fan wrote, “Do a video with your wife and your children,” highlighting the actor’s marital status.
In September 2023, Bolanle publicly announced his separation from his wife, the mother of his two children, acknowledging the reality of their divorce. He shared that he had made several attempts to salvage their relationship, all of which were unsuccessful. In an interview with TVC, he stated that he doesn’t view his ex-wife as a mistake, describing their relationship as divine.
Following the divorce, Bolanle hinted at his readiness to find love again, asking fans for dating advice on how to impress a new partner. He mentioned feeling a new spark in his heart and expressed his desire to move forward in life after the end of his marriage.
Rumors suggest that Bolanle may have moved on with his colleague Damilola Adegbite, the ex-wife of actor Chris Attoh. He recently made their relationship Instagram official, sharing a clip of the two holding hands while strolling in an undisclosed location.
In a previous post, Bolanle encouraged fans to express their disapproval, stating that he has found the courage to make his own choices. He emphasized that pain is temporary, and he has chosen love, peace, and light in his life.
