Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, has responded to rumors alleging that she snatched her husband from the daughter of her senior colleague, Lola Idije.
In a video that surfaced online, the Yoruba actress, who tied the knot earlier this year, clarified that her husband does not know any of Lola Idije’s daughters and that he only met the veteran actress through her. She firmly stated that the first time her husband spoke with Lola Idije was during their conversation, urging her colleague, Tosin, to address the situation and clear the air on the ongoing rumors.
My husband doesn’t know any of Actress Lola Idije’s daughters. In fact, it was through me that Actress Lola and my husband spoke for the first time. I didn’t snatch anybody’s husband. Actress Tosin, they said you are the one posting subs; please come out and clear these allegations,” she said.
Earlier this year, Biodun Okeowo announced her engagement in March, unveiling her husband to the public. Her traditional wedding in July was a major topic of discussion on social media.
This isn’t the first time Biodun has faced scrutiny over her love life. Previously, she was rumored to be romantically involved with skit maker and actor Cute Abiola, leading to his wife sharing alleged evidence on social media. Among the leaked chats, there were messages in which Omoborty inquired about Cute Abiola’s sexual health.
In response to these accusations, Biodun expressed that she had been bullied over the false rumors. Holding the Bible in a video, she emotionally cursed those who accused her of infidelity, explaining that she had initially remained silent on the matter at the urging of her partner and children. However, persistent trolling prompted her to finally speak out.
