Nigerian singer and music producer Skales recently opened up about his regrets regarding fatherhood, expressing a desire for children with different women.

In a candid interview, he revealed that he is currently the only surviving member of his bloodline and feels the weight of his family’s legacy resting solely on his shoulders.

I really regret not having baby mamas. I’m like the only person in my family bloodline that is alive right now. The whole bloodline relies on me to produce,” Skales shared, humorously adding that he is “taking applications” from women interested in becoming the mothers of his children.

Despite his lighthearted tone, Skales’ comments sparked a mix of reactions on social media. One user, Lifewith_Chika, questioned why he didn’t consider marriage instead of seeking baby mamas, while others expressed skepticism about the desirability of having multiple partners for childbearing. Comments varied from playful jabs to serious reflections on the implications of his statements, with users like Onye Ekereeke suggesting he seek therapy instead of airing his thoughts on a podcast.

In a previous interview, Skales discussed his past frivolous lifestyle and his relationships with women, admitting to having been with over 100 partners. He acknowledged that his early fame and access to women contributed to his toxic behavior, which caused him to lose many good relationships. However, he believes that these experiences have helped him grow into a better man.

Earlier this year, Skales expressed feelings of loneliness and sadness, particularly missing his mother, which he felt intensified his struggles with love in the current generation.
