Music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, has made headlines with his significant donation of N100 million to controversial activist Very Dark Man (VDM).
The announcement came via VDM’s Instagram page, where he expressed his surprise and gratitude for the unexpected contribution to his Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
In a video shared online, VDM revealed that he received the substantial donation without prior notification, leaving him astonished. He later received a message from Don Jazzy, explaining that he made the donation because he believes in VDM’s cause and trusts his commitment to transparency in using the funds.
As expected, the news generated a flurry of reactions on social media, with many praising Don Jazzy for his philanthropy. Comments ranged from admiration for his generosity to playful remarks about the unexpected nature of the donation.
One user, Princess Starrrrr, commented, “Philanthropist to the core. Biggest.” Another user, Mighty Royal1, jokingly remarked, “So na Don Baba put us in confusion since yesterday. Omo God bless you, sir.”
Other comments included praise for Don Jazzy’s discreet yet impactful giving style, contrasting it with those who boast about their wealth without contributing to society. Some users even pointed out the irony, given VDM’s past criticism of Don Jazzy for his support of Bobrisky while in prison.
In September, VDM had publicly criticized Don Jazzy and others for their donations to Bobrisky, questioning their commitment to social causes.
