British boxer Ryan Taylor has addressed an Instagram user’s comment regarding his daughter’s skin color after publicly sharing a heartfelt post about his family.
The post featured Ryan, his ex-fiancée Nigerian disc jockey DJ Cuppy, and their child, with Ryan expressing gratitude for their presence in his life.
An Instagram user questioned the child’s skin color, stating,
That baby is black. I’m sorry, what’s going on here?” In a gracious response, Ryan affirmed that his daughter was exactly what they had prayed for, thanking the user for their observation: “She’s exactly what we prayed for. Thank you.”
This interaction comes in the wake of Ryan’s engagement to DJ Cuppy in 2022, which ended in mid-2023. Following their breakup, Ryan rekindled his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Fiona, who had publicly criticized Cuppy during the engagement. Ryan has since shared loving moments with Fiona, including a recent post from Dubai where he expressed gratitude to God for their relationship.
Cuppy has described 2023 as the worst year of her life, reflecting on her regret over accepting Ryan’s proposal. She has also publicly responded to Ryan’s remarks about her driving skills, indicating that their split was not amicable.
