Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has made her expectations clear to potential suitors, taking to her Instagram to send a strong message.
In her post, Wumi stated that anyone interested in a relationship with her must come with a “transfer letter” from their ex, emphasizing her weariness of deceit. She also requested a certification from their therapist, indicating her desire for honesty and transparency in future relationships.
Wumi shared,
If you want a relationship with me, come with a transfer letter from your ex. I’m tired of lies. I will also suggest a certification from your therapist. God will use me for all the singles that eat lies day and night.”
She further advised her followers to watch her movie “Queen Lateefah,” suggesting that it holds valuable lessons about relationships. “If you are experiencing lies in a relationship, send your memo to God as I dey. I no too get a sense to advise you,” she added.
Last year, Wumi announced her separation from her husband, who is also the father of her son, citing domestic violence and the need for her sanity. Her ex-husband claimed their marriage was fraught with violence and deceit, alleging that Wumi physically assaulted his mother—a claim she vehemently denied.
Following the end of her marriage, Wumi expressed her frustrations with the types of roles she has been offered, criticizing producers for casting her in violent roles that may hinder her search for love.
In a recent interview, Wumi revealed she is open to being a second wife, acknowledging that being a single mother has led her to accept various possibilities. She also expressed her desire to have more children, stating she hopes to have them with one man.
