Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer and her husband, Olakunle Churchill, made a heartfelt visit to Ondo State this week to celebrate his mother’s birthday.
On the 9th of October, Rosy’s mother-in-law marked another year of life, prompting Churchill to share a tribute expressing his gratitude. He described his mother as the “absolute best” and his biggest supporter, revealing his heartfelt wishes for her on this special occasion.
Rosy joined in the celebrations, calling her mother-in-law a “beautiful and selfless human.” She praised the celebrant’s calm demeanor, sweet personality, and caring nature, referring to her as a role model. The couple celebrated her birthday with family and friends during what appeared to be a Thanksgiving service.
Rosy shared photos from the event, stating, “Gathered in Ondo State with family and friends to celebrate a life beautifully lived. Honoring Grandma’s unwavering support, love, and wisdom that has blessed us all. Moments like these remind us of the strength and warmth that family brings. Forever grateful to share this legacy with those who knew and loved her.”
Despite facing rumours and challenges in their marriage, Rosy and Churchill’s bond continues to grow stronger. In August of last year, anonymous blog Gistlover claimed their relationship was in jeopardy due to allegations of infidelity and domestic violence. The blog suggested that Churchill was not staying home and that Rosy, who was reportedly the breadwinner, was only pretending to praise him online.
The couple faced another scandal in December when the same blogger alleged that Churchill planned to take another wife, Lisa Yaro, and that he had physically abused Rosy. However, the couple celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary in December and welcomed their second child, a baby girl, in October.
Recently, they unveiled their daughter’s face to the world during her first birthday celebration, which featured a Barbie-themed party attended by several celebrities, including Eniola Badmus, Nosa Rex, and Uche Ogbodo.
