Businesswoman Wanneka recently sparked online debate with her views on feminism and relationships. In a social media post, she advised women against following feminists who suggest they don’t need men, stating that women can still embrace feminism while reciprocating love from a partner who genuinely cares for them.
She encouraged women to balance independence with affection, if in a supportive relationship.
Known for her open affection for her husband, Mustapha, Wanneka has faced criticism online for regularly sharing about their relationship. But she’s not alone—her former friend, Veekee James, often draws attention for celebrating her own marriage to Femi.
When Veekee married in February, she faced online scrutiny, with netizens accusing her of sponsoring her wedding independently. This didn’t deter her; she later held a seminar discussing marriage, which led comedian Dee One to question her advice, given her recent newlywed status.
Veekee James recently responded to a troll who criticized her natural appearance, reminding followers she is “made in God’s image.”
