Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel has shared why he can never engage in a diss track or speak poorly about his senior colleague, Wizkid.
During a conversation on Twitter, Kizz Daniel acknowledged the significant influence Wizkid has had on the music industry, highlighting how many artists, including himself, benefit from Wizkid’s hard work. He emphasized the importance of respecting those who paved the way.
“Na machala and baddest workings most of us dey enjoy now. It will be unwise my brother & respect the ones before you,” Kizz Daniel tweeted.
The conversation shifted to Davido’s fanbase, known as 30BG. One fan claimed 30BG would appreciate him dissing Wizkid, but Kizz dismissed the idea and encouraged them to show support. He humorously compared Davido’s fans, calling them “rugged and hyped,” to his own fans, whom he described as “calculative and wise.”
Kizz Daniel also addressed a fan who criticized him, suggesting that his pride is the reason his song “Buga” hasn’t reached greater heights. Kizz fired back by shading the critic’s father, expressing frustration over the continued misconceptions about him.
This isn’t the first time Kizz Daniel has made headlines for disputes. In July, he blocked Ubi Franklin on Instagram after a disagreement involving a N150 million gig. Allegedly, Ubi secured the deal and claimed a 10% royalty. However, Kizz Daniel reportedly only paid a small fraction, leading to tension between the two.
Furthermore, Kizz Daniel clashed with Tekno over revenue from their hit collaboration “Buga.” Tekno refuted claims that he was paid nearly a billion Naira, while Kizz Daniel retorted that the song helped revive Tekno’s career.
