Former Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, marked a remarkable milestone in his marriage as he celebrated 35 years of love and partnership with his wife, Dolapo Osinbajo, on November 25, 2024.
In an emotional tribute shared on his verified social media page, Osinbajo penned a heartfelt letter to Dolapo, praising her unwavering love and dedication to their family. Accompanying his message were lovely family photos featuring the couple, their three children, and son-in-law.
Osinbajo described his wife’s love as genuine and selfless, lauding her willingness to sacrifice everything for him and their children. He highlighted her generosity, resilience, and faith, which have been instrumental in navigating life’s challenges.
He wrote:
“My darling @dolapoosinbajo, every year of these 35 years, you’ve proved that true love is not a myth or a fanciful phrase—through your willingness to give up everything for me and our children, through your generosity with your time, skills, and great faith by which you have helped us all navigate our sometimes bewildering journeys.”
Yemi Osinbajo celebrated Dolapo’s remarkable achievements over the years, which include writing books, organizing national prayer meetings, running shelters for vulnerable women, training youths in various skills, and nurturing gardens. He affectionately referred to her as “Dolly” and expressed his gratitude to God for her presence in his life.
This celebration comes months after Dolapo Osinbajo emotionally bid farewell to Aso Rock, where the couple had resided during Yemi Osinbajo’s tenure as Vice President. Sharing a reflective moment on her Instagram, Dolapo expressed gratitude for the eight years spent serving the nation.
