Eniola Badmus and Funke Akindele have officially ended their long-time rift, bringing joy to their fans. Their reconciliation was confirmed at the premiere of Funke’s highly anticipated movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa (ELJ), where Eniola showed up, stunning in glamorous attire.

The two best friends posed together in photos, sending a message to the public that their issues were behind them.

Previously, rumors swirled about a falling-out between the Nollywood stars after they were noticeably absent from each other’s events. Eniola’s absence from Funke’s Jenifa movie premiere had raised eyebrows, but their appearance together at the Everybody Loves Jenifa event silenced any speculations. Funke had previously spoken about their bond, explaining that they simply became busy with life, which distanced them for a while.

The premiere was a grand affair, with Funke arriving in a Rolls Royce surrounded by heavy security, signaling her star power. The red carpet was filled with notable figures, including Falz, who also made waves with his chemistry with Funke. The pair were spotted sharing playful moments, from posing together to hitting the dance floor, delighting fans and sparking rumors about their close relationship.

Funke has come a long way in Nollywood. From her early struggles, including facing criticism for her looks, to now being the highest-grossing filmmaker in Nigeria, Funke’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Her films A Tribe Called Judah, Battle on Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto: The Saga have all broken records, with A Tribe Called Judah grossing over N1.4 billion at the box office.

Her latest movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, marks another milestone. Funke spared no expense in ensuring her cast and crew were well taken care of, even booking them into a luxury hotel and hosting a lavish dinner. This generosity was also evident in her heartfelt gratitude toward singer D’banj, who supported her project despite his own commitments. D’banj’s contributions to the Jenifa brand have been significant, and Funke made sure to thank him during her speech.

This event also showcased Funke’s commitment to empowering young talent. With 95% of her crew being young people, she celebrated the hard work and dedication of her team, noting that the project was self-funded.
