Vanessa Okoye, the daughter of renowned music executive and show promoter Paulo Okoye, has clapped back at a troll who made remarks about her personal life and her child’s father.
The drama began after Vanessa defended her father amid ongoing allegations by Nigerian singer Spyro. Spyro had claimed in an interview with Echo Room that he endured financial struggles while signed to Paulo Okoye’s record label, alleging he had to take loans to sustain himself and accusing Paulo of poor label management. Paulo, however, refuted these claims on Instagram, sharing receipts that detailed the N12 million he reportedly spent on Spyro without receiving any returns.
In defense of her father, Vanessa criticized Spyro, stating that many in the music industry were quick to disrespect those who once helped them. Her remarks sparked backlash, including a troll who commented on her Instagram story, telling her to focus on the father of her child and care for her baby.
Vanessa did not hold back, responding sharply:
You are very stupīd. Where your papa dey? Useless woman.”
This isn’t the first time Vanessa has been vocal in defending her family. In September of last year, Vanessa welcomed her daughter, Zariah Nwamaka Okoye, and shared the joyous news online. Her father, Paulo, celebrated the occasion by proudly embracing his role as a grandfather.
