Nigerian Afrobeat Queen Tiwa Savage has shared a profound reason why she remains unbothered by worries.
Taking to her Instagram story, Tiwa expressed her confidence in divine protection, stating:
How can I even worry when the God that creates this is the same one that watches over me?”
Recently, Tiwa ticked an adventurous activity off her bucket list—swimming underwater with sharks. In a video shared on her Instagram story, the “All Over” hitmaker donned an oxygen mask as she gracefully moved among the predators. Despite fans expressing concern for her safety, Tiwa addressed the fears humorously, noting that while people worry about sharks, the music industry is filled with far more dangerous individuals.
Last month, Tiwa hinted at a potential retirement from music, revealing that her upcoming studio album might be her last. She expressed fatigue, stating she had given her all to the industry.
Back in October, Tiwa sparked discussions when she declared herself part of the “Big 3” in the Afrobeat scene, alongside other top names. She confidently added that if talent and performance were considered, she would stand as the “big one.” Despite receiving backlash, Tiwa stood her ground, remaining unshaken by critics.
In April, Tiwa addressed rumours claiming she didn’t support fellow female artists. Shutting down the narrative, she highlighted her numerous collaborations with women in the industry, including Waje, Ayra Starr, Amaarae, Becca, and Simi. Sharing clips of their joint projects, Tiwa reiterated her commitment to uplifting others, solidifying her reputation as a supportive figure in the Afrobeat scene.
