Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has openly expressed her disappointment in 2Baba following his public announcement of his divorce from Annie Idibia.

She stressed that, as parents, sacrifices are essential and that abandoning loved ones during difficult times is not the answer.
Iyabo also criticized the timing of 2Baba’s post, stating that airing such personal matters publicly only exacerbates the pain for those involved, especially Annie, the mother of two of his children.
I adore you both,” she wrote, “but this timing was off. Adding fuel to the fire and burning the mother of your kids who’s already vulnerable is so unempathetic. I’m disappointed.”
Addressing Annie directly, Iyabo offered words of encouragement, assuring her that the current storm would pass. She prayed for strength and resilience for the couple, emphasizing the importance of protecting their children from the emotional fallout of their separation.
Similarly, media personality Toke Makinwa criticized 2Baba’s decision to bring the issue to social media. While she refrained from advising anyone to remain in an unfulfilling relationship, she highlighted the importance of timing and discretion.
Toke stated,
My problem is him bringing it to social media, especially at this moment. Timing is everything, and someday, people will know the truth.”
