Famous singer Simisola Kosoko, popularly known as Simi, shared a touching tribute on Instagram to celebrate her husband, Adekunle Gold, on his birthday, expressing her deep love and admiration for him.
Taking to Instagram, Simi posted heartfelt moments with Adekunle Gold, reflecting on their journey together and how their bond has grown stronger with time. She confessed her increasing awareness of how much she genuinely likes him as a person, a realization born from their daily interactions as a couple.
Simi wrote,
Baby, you started out GREAT, and you’ve gotten better with age. Over the past year, I’ve been very aware of how much I actually like you as a human being… Thank you for being so likable, Oko mi.”
She emphasized that Adekunle Gold deserves the very best in life and prayed for continued blessings for him. Declaring her love, she added, “If you could see yourself through my eyes, nobody else’s eyes would matter. Happy birthday, Champ. I love you with all of my hearts in all of the universes.”
Simi and Adekunle Gold, who tied the knot in 2019, are proud parents to their daughter, Deja, born in 2020. Their relationship has been marked by love and mutual respect, as seen during their 5th wedding anniversary celebration, where they released a music video to commemorate their union.
In past interviews, Simi has opened up about their relationship, sharing insights into their decision to live together before marriage. According to her, cohabiting helped them understand each other better before committing to a lifetime together.
Interestingly, Simi revealed that she never planned to marry a musician, recounting how she first met Adekunle Gold without knowing he was a singer.
