Veteran Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko recently enjoyed a heartwarming visit to Kunle Afolayan’s film village, where he was treated to first-class hospitality alongside his son, Tunde Kosoko.
In a video shared on Instagram, the celebrated actor expressed his delight as Kunle Afolayan personally hosted them with a sumptuous lunch.
“My son Tunde Kosoko and I were treated with super delicious lunch at Afefeyeye yesterday by Kunle Afolayan himself. Honestly, I enjoyed every bit of my stay in KAP,” he wrote.
During the visit, Kunle Afolayan pledged his support for Jide Kosoko’s forthcoming movie, Esugbayi Eleko. The announcement further solidifies the bond between the two industry icons and reflects Afolayan’s commitment to uplifting Nigerian cinema.
A few days earlier, Jide Kosoko paid a visit to his colleague Dele Odule’s film village in Oru Ijebu. The veteran actor shared his admiration for Odule’s Ile Asa complex, a project dedicated to redefining Nigeria’s arts and culture landscape.
Jide noted that he inspected costumes for his upcoming movie at the complex, which is still under development. Expressing pride in his colleague, he stated,
“I can’t wait for the complex to be completed and fully operational.”
In December 2023, Jide Kosoko, alongside fellow Nollywood icon Adebayo Salami, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Theatre and Media Arts from Achievers Networks Academy, UK. The duo was celebrated for their lasting impact on Nollywood through their remarkable roles, mentoring younger talents, and promoting African culture.
Adding to his list of accolades, Jide Kosoko was officially conferred as the head of his royal family at the Oteniya branch. As the official ambassador of the family, he pledged to contribute to its unity and progress.
