Nigerian artist Portable has once again stirred the pot, this time criticizing Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Baddoo. The Zazuu crooner publicly expressed his frustration with Olamide, claiming that the music mogul shifted focus to his protégé Asake, leaving him behind despite his earlier support.
In a recent Instagram post, Portable shared a screenshot from a 2023 chat where he vented about feeling abandoned by Olamide after the rapper had helped him gain fame. According to Portable, Olamide, who was his initial mentor in the industry, stopped offering support once he had helped elevate him.
Despite his earlier criticism, Portable took to his Instagram stories to encourage Olamide to continue supporting him, stating:
Bado na baba. Make him dey support me dey go, na him bring me. God bless Olamide Bado. Make my helper no stop to dey help me.”
This move sparked mixed reactions online, with many fans accusing Portable of displaying an entitled attitude. Comments flooded social media, with some users expressing disbelief over his actions, calling him the “Minister of Entitlement” and mocking him for his apparent lack of gratitude.
Several people pointed out that Olamide had already done a lot for Portable, including providing him with a verse and a free music video. Some fans urged Portable to continue pushing forward independently, while others questioned his decision to drag his former mentor publicly.
