Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar continues to grapple with the aftermath of her tumultuous past. The actress recently took to Instagram to share her emotional journey, offering prayers to her Maker and expressing her struggles. In response, several Nollywood stars and fans have rallied to support her.
The once-thriving Nollywood actress, has once again shared her emotional state with her followers. The actress posted a heartfelt video on Instagram, expressing her faith in God and her belief that her pain and tears will not be in vain.
You know best. My tears and pain won’t go in vain. Amen,” she wrote.
In the video, Halima assured her followers of two things: that prayers work and that “the tables would eventually turn.”A few weeks ago, Halima revealed her ongoing health challenges. The Kogi-born actress lamented that her healing journey is far from over and expressed a desire to erase the painful memories of her past.
Her recent posts took a more dire turn as she admitted to struggling financially. Halima openly shared her account details, asking for assistance from well-meaning Nigerians. “Help me. I’m tired of begging,” she pleaded.
In light of her struggles, some of her colleagues have shown support. Veteran actor Saidi Balogun took to her comment section, praying for her complete recovery.
You will surely overcome. Almighty Allah will heal you completely,” he wrote.
Actress Uche Ogbodo also reassured Halima, writing, “God got you, Hali.”
Other fans and well-wishers flooded her comment section with words of encouragement and prayers for divine healing.
Halima’s challenges extend beyond health issues. Last year, she faced suspension from the Actors Guild of Nigeria for allegations of defamation against colleagues and prominent individuals, including Apostle Johnson Suleman.
The controversy with Suleman began in 2022, with Halima accusing the cleric of several offenses. The fallout led to a public apology from Halima, where she admitted to making false allegations against him and sought forgiveness for the harm caused to his ministry and family.
Despite the apology, Halima’s health deteriorated during the altercation, with her family publicly blaming Suleman for her condition. However, others speculated she was battling an autoimmune disease, a claim Halima refuted by sharing her medical report, which skeptics dismissed as inconclusive.
