Nigerian music superstar, Davido, has issued a strong warning to popular Instagram blog, Instablog9ja, following a misleading post associating him with a kidnapping incident.
Earlier, Instablog9ja shared a now-deleted post with a video of apprehended kidnappers, captioned in part: “Davido and two others apprehended for kidnapping in Lagos.” The post’s insinuation drew widespread backlash and forced the blog to remove it.
Responding to the defamatory content, Davido took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his anger. He warned the blog, stating that they would eventually face his wrath:
“One day go be one day. Continue. My karma dey always tey.”
Social media users were quick to support the singer, calling out Instablog9ja for its irresponsible reporting.
- @Cherri_coco: “That yeye Instablog9ja need to be taught a lesson.”
- @Call_mi_didi: “For real, these bloggers need to stop. It’s not right.”
- @Ujah_Bright: “Sharp. Davido needs to shake that blog’s leg.”
This isn’t the first time Davido has stood up against perceived mistreatment or false narratives. In previous statements, the award-winning artist emphasized his resilience and warned detractors about facing consequences for their actions.
In 2024, Davido boldly declared his dominance in the music industry, reminding fans and critics alike that his presence consistently shakes things up. His Grammy nomination and numerous international accolades have further cemented his legacy as one of Africa’s biggest musical exports.
As fans eagerly await his next moves, Davido’s message is clear—misrepresentation and slander won’t be tolerated.
