Nollywood actress and comedienne Lizzy Jay has graciously accepted a public apology from a troll who previously criticized her appearance. In a recent Instagram post, Lizzy, who had clapped back at the troll’s body-shaming comments, urged her fans to stop retaliating and instead focus on spreading love and support.
Lizzy Jay, known for her outspoken nature, had earlier confronted a female troll who labeled her “dry.” The actress did not hold back, pointing out the troll’s own physical attributes and warning others against bringing negativity to her page. However, following the backlash, the troll, identified as Mopelola Jaiye, issued an apology.
Despite expressing skepticism about the sincerity of the apology, Lizzy decided to forgive and even promoted the troll’s business. She called on her followers to patronize the troll’s bedding products, encouraging them to replace trolling with kindness.

Lizzy Jay also used the opportunity to address the societal pressure slim women often face. She reminded her followers that many people are resorting to weight-loss methods like Monjaro and Ozempic, emphasizing that no one should feel pressured or bullied about their body shape.
This isn’t the first time Lizzy has spoken out against body-shaming and unrealistic beauty standards. In the past, she defended celebrities like Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham, highlighting their positive influence without resorting to altering their physical appearances.
Lizzy Jay’s gracious response to the troll’s apology reflects her commitment to promoting positivity. In a previous incident, she tendered her own apology to a fan she unintentionally ignored after the fan offered to pay for her outing. Her willingness to acknowledge and rectify such situations endears her to many.
