Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has achieved a major milestone with her first cinema movie, Labake Olododo. The film has grossed an impressive ₦202 million, making it the second Nollywood movie to reach this milestone in 2025.
Overwhelmed by the achievement, the mother of two took to her social media to celebrate, thanking Nigerians for their unwavering love and support.
“Labake Olododo is rewriting the rule book,” she wrote.
“3 weekends in a row and still in the top spot with ₦202M grossed! Thank you, Nigeria, for all the love and support. Still showing in cinemas nationwide—don’t miss the fire!”
The movie’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, also celebrated its ongoing success.
Iyabo’s daughter, Priscilla Ojo, joined in celebrating the victory, writing, “Wow. God is good.”

Labake Olododo premiered last month at Imax Cinemas in Lekki, Lagos, attracting a host of celebrities. Many praised Iyabo’s dedication to the project. Actress Dayo Amusa highlighted Iyabo’s relentless effort and discipline, encouraging her to stand tall and continue breaking barriers.
Similarly, Nollywood icon Funke Akindele gave the movie her stamp of approval, praising its aesthetics, visuals, and overall execution. At the premiere, she commended Iyabo, stating it was her time to shine.
Labake Olododo is an indigenous Nollywood story that explores themes of truth, faith, societal norms, and personal redemption. The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Tayo Faniran, Muyiwa Ademola, Ibrahim Chatta, Bimbo Akintola, Toyin Abraham, Broda Shaggi, Femi Adebayo, and more.
