Nigerian comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, recently shared his immense pride and gratitude for the unwavering support of his daughters at one of his major events.
Taking to Instagram, AY posted heartwarming photos of his daughters, expressing the sheer joy they bring him. He revealed that his eldest daughter, Michelle, traveled from the UK to cheer him on, while his youngest, Ayomide, surprised him with her presence. AY shared that seeing his daughters before stepping on stage was not just a moment of pride but also the secret behind his confidence and what he considers his best performance to date.
There’s nothing quite like the joy of having my daughters come around to cheer me on just before I hit the stage. Michelle flew in all the way from the UK, but my biggest joy was seeing Ayomide, who was brought to surprise me. She didn’t want me out of her sight for a second,” he wrote.
AY described their love and support as the fuel for his soul and a constant reminder of why he works so hard. He concluded by calling his daughters “incredible blessings” for whom he is forever grateful.
This isn’t the first time AY has publicly appreciated his daughters. Earlier this year, the comedian penned an emotional note celebrating Ayomide’s birthday, sharing a touching video of their reunion and her excitement as he surprised her at school.
