Nigerian billionaire and 5-Star Music boss, Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has addressed the public following his release from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

E-Money was reportedly arrested on Monday, April 25, at his residence in Omole, Lagos, for allegedly spraying US dollars in violation of the Foreign Exchange Act. According to EFCC sources, the act contravenes laws governing the use of foreign currency in Nigeria.

Taking to Instagram, E-Money shared a video to assure his supporters, stating, “No tension, everywhere good.” He expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support, adding, “God bless you all. It is too late to fail. Amen.”

Meanwhile, actor and comedian Okon Lagos, alongside socialite Cubana Chief Priest, has come out in solidarity with E-Money. Okon Lagos questioned the EFCC’s priorities, highlighting the daily devaluation of the Naira against the dollar and urging the commission to focus on corrupt leaders responsible for economic decline.

Cubana Chief Priest also praised E-Money for his contributions to the Southeast through his recently concluded homecoming concert. In a powerful message, he reaffirmed the resilience of the Igbo community, vowing that they would continue to rise and support their own.

This incident echoes similar cases involving public figures like Cubana Chief Priest and Bobrisky, both of whom faced EFCC action last year for Naira abuse. The crackdown on such offenses bringing to bare the enforcement of financial laws in Nigeria.
