Veteran Nollywood actress, Jumoke George, a respected name in Nollywood, has been blessed with a fresh start after enduring years of hardship. The actress recently received a four-bedroom duplex, an SUV, and a plot of land from well-meaning Nigerians.
The heartwarming news was shared by her junior colleague, Biola Bayo, who expressed deep gratitude to everyone who contributed to changing Jumoke’s life. Taking to Instagram, Biola posted an emotional video capturing the moment the actress and her daughter were handed the keys to their new home and car.
In her caption, Biola acknowledged the overwhelming support from the public, writing:

Jumoke’s journey has been filled with challenges. In an emotional interview with Biola Bayo earlier this year, she revealed that she had been homeless for over five years, living in her church while battling deteriorating health. She disclosed undergoing tests for her brain and heart, with no funds to cover medical expenses.
The veteran actress also shared the pain of losing contact with her daughter, Adeola Omotosho, for four years. With the help of Biola Bayo, fellow actor Adeniyi Johnson, and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission chairperson Abike Dabiri, she was joyfully reunited with her daughter.
Adeola, who was also touched by the generosity of Nigerians, received a deep freezer and cash gifts to support her journey.
Jumoke’s challenges began at a young age when family conflicts left her feeling abandoned. Following her parents’ divorce, choosing to live with her father strained her relationship with her mother, and her stepmother further worsened her struggles.
