Nigerian filmmaker Kazim Adeoti, husband of Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to his daughter for a thoughtful gesture during his recent visit to Minnesota.
Taking to his Instagram page, the proud father shared a video of himself enjoying a spa treatment courtesy of his daughter, Aaliyah Adeoti. Kazim, who juggles life between Nigeria and the United States, thanked his daughter for the pampering and showered her with blessings.
In his post, Kazim wrote:
A big thanks to my princess @aaliyahadeotix for the treats in my last trip to Minnesota. God bless you, Ashabi. Papa loves you a lot.”
Kazim Adeoti has consistently celebrated his children’s milestones. Just last month, he marked his son’s graduation from college with pride, applauding his hard work and dedication.
Kazim’s personal life has seen its share of challenges, particularly after his marriage to actress Mercy Aigbe. His union with Mercy led to a strain in his relationship with his first wife, Funsho Adeoti.
In 2023, Funsho mourned their broken marriage, revealing that February 15th would have marked their 20th wedding anniversary. She expressed gratitude for life despite the circumstances and reassured herself that all would be well.
Funsho also clarified that she and Kazim were not officially divorced but separated, which explained her continued acknowledgment of their anniversary.
Their marital issues were further complicated by a public disagreement over their shared home. Funsho accused Kazim and Mercy of occupying and sharing photos of the property, which she claimed was partly hers.
Kazim, however, refuted these allegations, insisting that he built the house independently and that Mercy Aigbe contributed to furnishing it.
