Nigerian comedian and actor Woli Arole has sparked conversations online by criticizing women who opt for surrogacy despite being healthy enough to carry a pregnancy.

In a thought-provoking Instagram post, Woli Arole addressed what he termed the “wokeness” of women who choose surrogacy without medical necessity. He emphasized that it is a divine blessing for women to carry their children in their wombs, urging them not to let societal trends overshadow God’s design.

Your body is God’s temple,” he wrote. “Surrogacy isn’t just a lifestyle choice; it’s a solution for those facing medical challenges. There’s a reason God gave women a womb.” Arole reminded women that their decision should align with God’s plan and not be based on personal convenience or trends.

This isn’t the first time Arole has sparked discussions on gender-related topics. Recently, he challenged the idea that women should remain voiceless in marriages, emphasizing that submission does not equate to silence.

Similarly, actress Mary Njoku recently advocated for the acceptance of IVF within Nigerian religious circles. She urged women to include IVF successes in their testimonies, highlighting it as a miracle akin to natural conception or a C-section.
