Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has escalated his ongoing feud with actress Laide Bakare by releasing a diss track aimed at her. The feud, which began with public jabs and private accusations, has now gone viral following Portable’s latest musical retaliation.
Portable, known for his eccentric behaviour and confrontational persona, took to his Instagram page to drop the diss track. In a video accompanying the track, the singer was seen wearing a feminine outfit as the song played in the background.
The drama started earlier this week when Portable accused Laide of inviting him to perform at her event without paying him. Laide, in turn, issued a stern warning for Portable to avoid mentioning her name or her family in his rants. She clarified that she had no connection to his issues and advised him to stay clear of her business.
Ignoring her warning, Portable responded with a barrage of accusations, even going as far as making inappropriate comments about her personal life. He claimed she attempted to use him to gain relevance and mocked her financial status, calling her out for being unable to pay for his services.
Portable followed up his accusations by sharing a recorded audio conversation between them and promising to dedicate a song to her, a promise he fulfilled with his diss track.

Last year, the pair were embroiled in another public spat when Laide reportedly referred to Portable as a “dirty boy from Sango” during an interview. Portable retaliated by exposing alleged private advances from her while criticizing her for publicly demeaning him.
