Yoruba Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has shared a delightful video of her daughter, Simisola, on set with veteran actors Ayo Mogaji and Femi Branch.
In the video, posted to her Instagram page, Simisola is seen speaking Yoruba fluently—with a refined accent—as she acts alongside the Nollywood legends on the set of Iluoyinbo, a new production by FM Destiny Productions.
“And @simlineboss nailed it yesterday with the legends @chief_femibranch @bintaayomogaji on the set of @fmdestinyproductions latest movie Iluoyinbo the masterpiece,” Laide proudly captioned the post.
This isn’t Simisola’s first time on screen. Back in 2022, Laide had expressed immense joy when her daughter made her acting debut. She shared behind-the-scenes clips of Simi on a movie set and praised her dedication to the craft.
Simisola isn’t new to the spotlight. In 2021, social media was thrown into a frenzy when Laide revealed that her then 13-year-old daughter had gifted her 9-year-old brother a Benz for his birthday. After facing backlash, Laide backed the claim by unveiling her daughter’s thriving real estate business, Slimline Properties.
She also explained her decision to keep Simisola away from public scrutiny, saying the young entrepreneur was “too hot” for the limelight and would remain off social media for another five years.
During her daughter’s birthday celebration in 2023, Laide Bakare shared a heartfelt story, revealing that she had prayed for a daughter instead of a husband on her own 25th birthday. She promised to one day share how Simisola played a life-changing role in shaping who she is today.
