Leicester city mildfielder, Onyinye Ndidi, has paid a courtesy visit to the camp of the Nigeria u-17 football team, the Golden Eaglets.
The super eagles midfielder’s visit is intended to motivate the Golden Eaglets as they prepare for the U-17 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Algeria. The tournament will take place between 29th April and 15th May. Ndidi announced the visit on his Instagram handle and posted the video where he said:
Good to meet up with the under 17s national team and childhood coach. A very pivotal man in my football career. Always great to catch up”
Ndidi is currently with the Super Eagles as they will take on Guinea-Bissau in 2024 (AFCON) qualifying matches on Friday, March 24 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium and Monday, March 27 at the Estadio 24 de Setembro.
With six maximum points from their previous two matches, victory in the top-of-the-table clashes will see the three-time champions soar to 12 points and most probably in an unassailable position.
The team will play the games without first assistant coach, Finidi Geoarge and goalkeeper trainer Shorunmu who are no longer part of the coaching staff.
