Rita Edochie says May will forever be Queen May Yul Edochie, urging the public to stop the hate and focus on their own journey and God’s timing.
Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has once again shown public support for her former daughter-in-law, May Edochie, while dropping a powerful message for critics and online trolls.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Rita cautioned the public against stepping on the toes of those with divine grace, warning that such actions will only end in disgrace. She made it clear that May’s grace and identity cannot be shaken—even after her divorce from Yul Edochie.
“Her name remains Queen May Yul Edochie even after the divorce, because you didn’t give her the name. If you don’t like it, go hug transformer or sleep well. The name has come to stay,” she wrote.
Rita questioned why so many people harbour hatred for a woman who doesn’t even know they exist. She encouraged fans and critics alike to focus on their own lives, pray for their success, and wait for their season to shine.
She continued with a piece of advice:
“Stop the unnecessary anger. Don’t rush or compare your journey to others. Like the sun and moon, we all have our own unique time to shine. Forcing your way can lead to burnout or worse—trust God’s timing.”
Rita ended her message by encouraging people to celebrate small wins, remain patient, and stay on their path because divine timing is never wrong.
Rita has been a strong and vocal supporter of May ever since her separation from Yul Edochie. Last week, during news of Linc Edochie’s crashed marriage, she reminded the public that May is focused on chasing her dreams and building a bigger life, currently thriving in China.
She stated that May no longer listens to distracting voices or side talk, and that she—Rita—would never stop defending her. Likening herself to a mother hen, Rita said May is now her daughter, and those asking her to walk away from the actress should know she’s not going anywhere.
