Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Iyabo Ojo, has openly warned that if any harm comes to her or her children, her colleague Lizzy Anjorin should be held responsible.
During an Instagram Live session, Iyabo cleared the air about their recent court case. She stressed that contrary to what some believe, she didn’t initiate any new legal action. According to her, the judge presiding over their N1 billion lawsuit simply chose to throw out the case in the spirit of peace. She also made it clear she has been patiently waiting for Lizzy to mention her name again publicly.
Iyabo stated that Lizzy has repeatedly accused her of associating with people who bully her. But in response, Iyabo emphasized that they are not friends and she owes Lizzy no loyalty.
You say I mingle with people who bully you—Lizzy, we are not friends. I can be close to whoever I choose. You always come after everyone you see around me. If anything happens to me or my kids, let the public know—you are the one to be held responsible,” she said during the live session.
This warning comes shortly after a Lagos court dismissed the defamation suit Iyabo filed against Lizzy. Lizzy had quickly reacted online, mocking Iyabo over the court’s decision.
Earlier this year, tensions between the two actresses flared again when Iyabo accused Lizzy of constantly harassing and attacking people close to her. She warned that the behavior was becoming unbearable and needed to stop.
Their feud, which dates back to 2023, began when Iyabo shared a video online, humorously mimicking Lizzy. Lizzy, taking offense, retaliated by spilling private allegations about Iyabo’s lifestyle, including accusations of promiscuity.
In response, Iyabo demanded a public apology, threatening legal consequences and a ₦500 million libel fee. The legal battle officially began in March 2023, but Lizzy failed to show up during their first court hearing. The court eventually pasted a court summons at her residence after other efforts failed.
By July, the presiding judge intervened personally, urging both actresses to stop the social media drama and settle their differences. Iyabo later confirmed to the press that the judge gave them motherly advice to choose peace over public fights.
Now, with Iyabo once again raising the alarm, it seems the battle may not be entirely behind them.
