Odunlade Adekola loses father, Pastor N.A Adekola, and tributes are pouring in from fans and fellow Nollywood stars as the actor mourns a painful loss.
It is a deeply emotional time for Nollywood actor Odunlade Adekola as he announces the passing of his beloved father, Pastor N.A Adekola.
The Yoruba movie star shared the sad news on his Instagram page in the early hours of the morning, posting a photo of his late father with the simple but touching caption:
Rest on my daddy.”
The announcement has since sparked a flood of condolence messages from fans and colleagues, with many offering words of comfort and prayers for the family.
One fan wrote, “Omg, may the good Lord grant him eternal rest in Jesus’ name.”
Another commented, “Rest in perfect peace, sir.”
Messages of support continued to pour in for the actor.
Several Nollywood actors and actresses have also taken to social media to show support for Odunlade during this difficult period.
Saidi Balogun wrote, “My condolences to the family, my brother. May his soul rest in glory.”
Sotayo Gaga added, “May his soul rest in peace. Sorry for your loss.”
Woli Agba, Kunle Afod, Seyi Edun, Mustapha Sholagbade, Jayeola Monje, and many others also left heartfelt messages, praying for peace and strength for Odunlade and his family.
Odunlade Adekola now joins a growing list of Nollywood stars who have lost parents this year.
Actor Adekola Tijani earlier lost his mother, expressing his grief openly online and questioning why such pain had to hit home.
Nuella Njubigbo, too, said goodbye to her father, sharing a candlelight post and praying for his peaceful rest.
In February, actress Ini Edo revealed the passing of her father. In an emotional tribute, she described him as her first love and biggest supporter, saying that writing about his death was one of the hardest things she’s ever had to do.
Woli Arole, in January, mourned the death of his father as well, describing him as a hero and a role model. He expressed gratitude that they spent joyful final moments together.
Actor and producer Afeez Owo also experienced personal loss just before the New Year when he announced the passing of his father on Instagram, saying goodbye with heavy emotions.
