Nollywood actor Kunle Afod mourns Odunayo Olufemi “Oloto” following the shocking news of his sudden passing.

Taking to Instagram, Kunle shared that Oloto had gone to church but felt unwell during the service. He visited a hospital located opposite the church and while narrating his symptoms to the receptionist, he reportedly slumped and died instantly.

Kunle, visibly shaken, expressed his grief, saying:

“Odunayo Olufemi Oloto, I can’t believe you are no more. Your news came to me as a shock. You went to church, complained about feeling uneasy, and went to the hospital opposite. While explaining to the receptionist, you died immediately. What a world… Vanity upon vanity. Rest in peace, my friend. It’s a wrap.”

Actress Regina Chukwu also paid tribute, describing Oloto as a boss and mentor who gave her valuable guidance in her career. She prayed for his soul to rest peacefully.

Oloto’s passing adds to the growing list of Nollywood losses this year. On the same day, actress Omotola Odunsi, known for her role in Lisabi, was also confirmed dead.

Earlier in June, the industry mourned producer Kayode Peters, who passed away in Canada. That same month, actress Berry White tragically slumped and died in her home.

In May, plus-sized model Monalisa Stephen died in Lagos after battling low blood sugar and internal bleeding. March saw the loss of veteran actress Nkechi Nweje after a brief illness, while February marked the passing of veteran actor and academic Columbus Irisoanga, as announced by Hilda Dokubo.
