Popular Lagos socialite and entrepreneur Pretty Mike has opened up about the painful loss of his father, sharing an emotional message with fans on Instagram.
In a heartfelt video, Pretty Mike revealed that his father passed away a few months ago, describing him as a man who instilled love and the value of peace in him.
“I lost my father a couple of months ago. He was a man who instilled a lot of love in me. He always encouraged peace. I rarely speak about my personal life online, but I needed to put this out.
There’s this slogan going around that encourages bad energy. It promotes revenge and retaliation. But true strength lies in love, patience, and wisdom – not retaliation.
I can no longer see you with my eyes or touch you with my hands, but I will feel you in my heart forever. Rest well, Dad,” he said.
Using his loss as a teaching moment, Pretty Mike cautioned against the growing social media culture of glorifying negativity and revenge. He emphasized that true power comes from love, wisdom, and patience—not retaliation.
Earlier this year, Pretty Mike advised single ladies to marry kind men who can’t bear to see them in pain, warning that life is too short as husbands often move on quickly after loss.
In 2023, he made headlines when he defended singer Portable’s ability to attract multiple women, explaining that a man who provides for his family will always be appealing despite criticism or appearance. He crowned Portable as “Man of the Year” while clarifying that he wasn’t promoting polygamy.
