Nollywood actress Christabel Egbenya has openly expressed her excitement and support for singer Davido and his wife, Chioma, as they prepare for their white wedding in Miami this weekend.
Taking to Instagram, Christabel called the couple “my two lovers” and declared that, for the next two weeks, the internet should be reserved for celebrating Davido and Chioma.
This weekend is about my two lovers, @davido @thechefchi. If there’s any other news, keep it for the next two weeks. But for now, we celebrate good news only. Not every time someone enters this IG, na only dragging, dragging drama everywhere. Let’s celebrate, oh,” she wrote.
Christabel’s public show of love adds to the wave of celebrity support the couple has enjoyed. During their traditional wedding last year, Davido’s aide Israel DMW praised Chioma’s character, saying beauty alone can’t keep a marriage. Talent manager Ubi Franklin also described Chioma as a sister, noting her humility and peaceful nature, while actress Sarah Martins called her a good woman who deserves nothing but the best.
Reality star Uriel Oputa had also defended Chioma against trolls, describing her as a mature, clout-free woman who radiates peace.
