Klintoncod Doubts Cubana Chief Priest’s US Visa Story

Nigerian comedian Klintoncod has cast doubt on Cubana Chief Priest’s explanation for why he missed Davido’s highly publicized wedding in Miami.

Earlier, the celebrity barman revealed that visa issues kept him from attending the lavish event. In an emotional appeal to the US government, Chief Priest said he was still hopeful despite the setback, adding that many people were hurt and disappointed by his absence.

However, Klintoncod took to X (formerly Twitter) to express skepticism. He pointed out that Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW — who he claimed struggles with English — had no problem entering the US. He questioned how a billionaire like Cubana could be denied entry while his wife and children have access.

“You see that Chief Priest story of being denied a US visa, I also doubt that story sha,” Klintoncod wrote. “Israel wey no sabi speak English like that enter Miami, na billionaire Chief Priest dem come deny visa but wife and kids get. Baba know why him no wan touch US soil sha.”

When a fan responded by defending Chief Priest, explaining that the visa denial happened years ago when he was still a “nobody” and applied through an agent, Klintoncod stood his ground, simply replying, “Dad talk still!!”

Cubana Chief Priest is known as one of Davido’s biggest supporters, especially of his wife, Chioma, who hails from his home state of Imo. His absence at the wedding raised eyebrows, given his history of celebrating and publicly praising the couple.

From congratulating them after their reconciliation in 2022 to praying for them to have more children, and even flaunting a ₦7 million Agbada for their traditional wedding, Chief Priest’s bond with the couple is well documented.
