Joy has filled the home of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo as her daughter, Priscilla Ojo, and her Tanzanian husband, singer Juma Jux, have welcomed their first child together.
The couple, who tied the knot earlier this year in a lavish six-part wedding held in both Nigeria and Tanzania, shared the good news with their fans. Priscilla delivered a baby boy in Canada, with her mother and close friends by her side.
Iyabo Ojo confirmed the news on Instagram, posting a photo from the hospital with her daughter and newborn grandson. She introduced him to the world with the name Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala and wrote:
“Say hello to the latest sexiest grandma in town, my grandson is the cutest @rakeem_mk!”
In celebration, Juma Jux shared a video of himself raising a toast with friends, proudly calling himself the “new dad in town.”
Priscilla later shared clips of her son and a touching moment where Iyabo cradled her newborn grandson. In her caption, she revealed his full name and birth date:
“Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala. 24.08.25.”
The couple had earlier revealed they were expecting a boy during their gender reveal in Tanzania. Friends and family also hosted a baby shower for Priscilla in Canada, with Iyabo and actress Lola Alao among those present. During the event, Iyabo prayed for her daughter’s marriage to flourish, saying she had already “paid the price” for Priscilla to enjoy a lasting union.
Nigerian celebrities including Stephanie Coker, Jide Awobona, and Lola Magret have since flooded social media with congratulatory messages for the new parents.
