Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has fired back at a troll who mocked her success after she acquired a brand-new Lexus SUV.
The actress, who shared photos of her new ride on Instagram, expressed gratitude to God, noting that in just 12 months of living in Lagos, her life has taken a remarkable turn. She described her journey as proof that genuine hard work pays off, even if progress comes slowly.
“God did! Congratulations to me. Just 12 months in Lagos and God is already perfecting everything. My life is a testament that you can make it through genuine hard work, slow and steady,” she wrote.
However, while many fans and colleagues flooded her comment section with congratulatory messages, one troll decided to stir trouble, writing, “BBL finally paid off! Congratulations, nne.”
In a swift response, Sarah slammed the troll, making it clear that her achievements have nothing to do with her body. She revealed that she owns seven thriving brands and several properties worth far more than her new car.
“I own seven solid brands! I don’t belong to the streets—never did and never will. My charity alone costs me nothing less than ₦1.5 million monthly, and it’s funded by my businesses. You think buying a car came from men? You’re delusional! Don’t ever attribute my sweat to my figure again,” she fired back.
Sarah further reminded critics that she is a hardworking woman who earns her respect legitimately, not through questionable means.
This isn’t the first time the Asaba-based actress has had to defend her hustle. In the past, she revealed that her job pays her between ₦5 to ₦10 million monthly and gives her more dignity than “sleeping with married men for sponsorship.”
Since cutting ties with her former friend Judy Austin, Sarah’s career has continued to flourish. Recently, she was recognised among Africa’s Under 40 CEOs, a milestone she celebrated by recalling how she started her empire with just ₦100,000 in 2019 and built it into a successful brand through sheer determination.
