Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has spoken publicly after sharing a deeply personal testimony about her healing and spiritual journey.

The actress recently revealed that she began smoking at the age of 13, a habit she said was influenced by her upbringing. According to her, the addiction lasted for 27 years before she finally broke free. She also disclosed past struggles with alcoholism and masturbation, explaining that those chapters of her life are now behind her.

Following the testimony, Tonto took to her Instagram page with a lengthy post, describing the experience as more than a reflection of the past. She called it the proudest and bravest moment of her life, explaining that fear, shame, and doubt had long held her back from fully expressing her faith.

She explained that despite her desire to grow spiritually, she often felt unable to do so by her own strength. That, she said, changed after joining the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations (NSPPD), which she described as a turning point that helped her fully embrace her beliefs without restraint or fear.

Tonto wrote that the experience transformed her understanding of faith and gave her clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose. According to her, what once felt like hesitation became bold conviction.

The actress had earlier shared her testimony during a Sunday service at Pastor Jerry Eze’s church on December 14, where she also revealed that she had suffered severe back pain for over 20 years, which she said has completely stopped. She added that she no longer drinks or smokes and has gained clarity about her identity and beliefs.

In another revelation, Tonto spoke about past spiritual encounters and practices she no longer identifies with, saying she now understands what aligns with her life and faith. She also claimed that disturbing experiences she once had in her dreams ended after attending a conference in Ghana.

Hours after the testimony, Tonto went further to reintroduce herself publicly, describing herself as restored, purified, and firmly rooted in her beliefs. She stated that her story is not about reinvention, but about transformation and purpose.

Over the past year, the actress has consistently reflected on her growth, often describing her journey as moving from a difficult past into a meaningful present. Since turning 40, she has maintained that peace, clarity, and focus now define her life, noting that she is no longer driven by public opinion.
